What you think about our courses?
A very interesting, comprehensive and detailed course.
I found the courses easy to follow. No matter what you do and how much you want to jump right into making a larimar or fairy flower you need to start with the basic course. Even if you've been working with resin for years. It's where she gives you the tools you will need to convert her recipes to work with your mold and the products you have access to. Such as here in the US our pigments are more concentrated. She explains how to convert the recipe to fit your coaster mold or to make it a tray. You find out the different types of pigments and how much is meant by the measurements given. You learn what she means by pearl and shine. I can't stress it enough, you need the basic course first in order to succeed with the other courses without having 30 failed attempts. But even with your failures you get happy surprises that often turn out stunning. You won't fail because of the recipes. It's because finding the exact amounts of coloring may take a few tries because of how much more pigmented ours is compared to what she has access to. The basic course will help you be able to use what you already have on hand instead of buying all new pigments and mica. The only thing you might need is the shine, which she explains what that is in the basic course. And a deep live edge mold.
I think it it was great! Very educational for me. It explains a lot of my ratios of being wrong. Iām in the United States and yes, if the pigment paste and alcohol inks are stronger here than it is there then that makes a lot of sense why my blooms and other projects are not working. Everything I try is a failure. So yes, this course was very educational. Thank you, Darla Shepherd
Everything in the course was fantastic. I also took the beginners course. I had no issues following along.
My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide the CPS rating of the resins used to find comparable products as I am in Canada.
I am fasinated how you do these techniques. I have taken a couple of your courses now, and found the beginners course is an absolute must to have, without it you will not have the understanding and knowledge that is required to produce professional looking pieces or how they work for her patterns. She covers everything you need, with products and links to their sites, she speaks very clear fluid english to. I live in Canada so I couldn't begin understanding her first language. I intend on taking more courses but want to get the Larimar Bubble mastered first. Thank you for the free course I loved it, will be trying it also. Thanks again for reaching out to me on my concerns so far, sometimes we need someone to hold our hand reguardless when we feel stuck. So thanks again. From a happy senior citizen student. Blessings.
